The iEdit Network will be updating many of it's core systems tonight including cPanel and the iEdit Network Form Builder tool among other minor updates. No downtime is expected.

What qualifies me for a free transfer?

The iEdit Network provides a limited number of free transfers from other hosting providers for new accounts within 30 days of signup. For your free transfer, please start a support ticket.

If you have already used your free transfer (or if you are outside of the 30 day window) and you would still like to have our administrators move your content for you then simply fill out the transfer form and an administrator will provide you with a quote for the transfer.

Note: Free migration services are only offered for "as-is" transfers of website content and data with no updates to the site configuration, aside from database connection details. Copying an existing site to a new domain or changing the URL of an existing site would NOT be free.

Example: WordPress must be configured for the location it is installed to. Transferring a WordPress site from mydomain.com/site to mydomain.com/, or to myotherdomain.com/ would require a reconfiguration in order for it to function after the migration, and would not be eligible for a free transfer.

To see your financial status with the iEdit Network, simply login to your MyiEdit Account.

All customers will sign in with your personal email address (provided during sign-up) and account password (chosen during sign-up). If you do not know your password, you can easily reset your password by clicking the "Forgot your password" link below the password input box.

Next, select the Billing tab and then click "My invoices". The amount due will be listed; if no amount is shown, then you are paid up.

When you access an email account through a desktop email application such as “Microsoft Outlook 2000® for Windows®”, the email application will require specific information about your email account. The information below is used to setup a email client for your desktop or mobile phone.

Authentication is required for IMAP, POP3, and SMTP.


Notes:

  • IMAP email access coordinates between the server and your mail application. Messages that have been read/deleted/replied to will show up as such, both on the server and in the mail application.

  • POP3 does not coordinate with the server. Messages marked as read/deleted/replied to in the mail application will not show up as such on the server. This means that future mail downloads with POP3 will show all messages as unread.

  • Outgoing mail is sent using SMTP.

  • We recommend using POP3 over SSL/TLS or IMAP over SSL/TLS since they provide increased security for your interactions with the remote mail server.

In some cases, it is necessary to transfer your domain to the iEdit Network's servers to make working with hosting smoother. If this is the case, there are a few things you will need to have before starting this process.

  1. Your domain name (e.g. yourdomain.com)
  2. The transfer code - You will need to get this from your current registrar. Please note that to retrieve this code, your registrar may require a 2-7 day holding period to validate the transfer.
  3. You will need to go ahead and pay a transfer fee which will reset the date in which your domain is set to renew on.
